CHAPTER ONE
It is a sunny day in Konohagakure and Suigetsu's water bowl has not been filled. His master has been negligent and dogs very commonly fall ill of dehydration in the heat of summer. Of course, Suigetsu cannot get dehydrated because he is made of water, but the risk is still very real. He whines sadly and stares at the front door. When will master return?
Eventually he grows tired of waiting, but master has yet to install a doggy door. This is no hurdle for Suigetsu, who quickly rearranges his molecular structure and turns into water, sliding under the door and materializing again on the other side. He has outsmarted the door and his master, and his master has not installed an electric fence yet. He has won.
He knows where to find his master, and if he had a tail it would be wagging. Suigetsu rushes through the streets of Konoha eagerly, arriving at the Academy in record time and allowing himself inside regardless of potentially not being allowed inside. He does not know the rules; he is above the rules.
Suigetsu wanders around until he finds the classroom master teaches in, turning into water again to beat the other door, because a door will not stop him again when he is so close. A child screams as he enters but he does not care--he has priorities. He has found his master and he is excited.
"Hello Sasuke. I need some yogurt now please."
CHAPTER TWO
Master sighs loudly, he does not seem as excited to see Suigetsu as Suigetsu is to see him. The child is still screaming. Suigetsu still does not care. "I left the door closed for a reason. Also we don't live together. Why are you always in my house. I will get a restraining order, Suigetsu."
"But we're friends, Sasuke. And I still need yogurt. Now, please."
Master sighs again, it seems to be the sound he makes most. Suigetsu fondly remembers the days when master was friendly and whistled at him, praised him, gave him yogurt. These are not real memories however, as he realizes. These are fabricated realities that exist only in Suigetsu's dreams. "Suigetsu, I am teaching. I am a teacher. I have students. Minds. Minds that need molding. I am molding them. I am molding their minds. They are clay and I am the potter. I need to make vases. I need to make ninjas. I am their teacher and I have to teach them to be ninjas. I cannot get you yogurt now. I wish I had killed you instead of Karin."
Suigetsu is sad at the mention of Karin. He never liked her but she did not need to die. Sometimes she got him yogurt. That is also not true; she did not get him yogurt. That is another fabrication of reality from his dream world. "I still need yogurt, though. And they don't really even have minds. People don't develop minds until they are like, 12."
"They are twelve."
"Thirteen."
Master sighs again, and Suigetsu wonders how he has air left in his lungs. "I hate you so much."
